ETHIOPIAN MILLENNIUM REPRESENTS NEW AFRICAN MILLENIUM

The National Assembly of the South Africa Parliament notified that the Celebration of the new Ethiopian Millennium represents the dawning of a new millennium for the entire African continent.

The Assembly notified this in a motion it endorsed at a session held on 11th of September 2007.

As the seat of African Union is based in Ethiopia, the millennium unquestionably represents the dawn of the new millennium of all the continent of Africa, the motion underlined.

According to a congratulatory message received by the Ethiopian Embassy in Pretoria from acting speaker of the Assembly, hon. MS.G.L. MAHLANGU UKABINDE, the Assembly has congratulated, in the motion, the people and the government of Ethiopia marking the beginning of the new millennium and wished all the best throughout the celebrations.
