“The Multi faceted Cooperation Between Ethiopia and Germany is Getting Momentum”

The multi faceted cooperation between Ethiopia and Germany is getting momentum time after time, it was disclosed.

This was disclosed by the chairperson of the Foreign, Defense and security Affairs standing committee, hon. Ambassador Mohammed Ali while the representatives of the parties with seats in the parliament discussed with the German Parliamentary delegation led by Mr. Hartwing Fischer on 4th of Oct. 2007.

Meantime, Ambassador Mohammed said that the relationship between Ethiopia and Germany in the political economic and social sectors has been growing time and again.

The chairperson stated that Germany has been supporting Ethiopia in the engineering capacity building, education and training and other sectors.

Moreover, the development assistance extended to Ethiopia by Germany has contributed a lot to the development endeavors.

Hon. W/ro Netsanet Asfaw, assistant government Whip indicated that women’s participation in the House is growing significantly from time to time.

Party Whip of Coalition for Unity and Democracy, hon. Ato Temesgen Zewdie on his behalf said that his party faced office and finance problems.

Then, representative of Union of Ethiopian Democratic Forces, hon. Ato Gebru G/Mariam indicated the need to further access opposition parties to electronic media.

Meanwhile, various questions were raised by the delegation and replies were given.

Hon. Hartwig Fischer, on his part, expressed his belief that the bilateral relations between the two countries would continue strengthened.
