House Performs Better ctions

The House of peoples` Representatives is reported to have registered better performance than the previous year.
The Chief Whip with minister’s rank his excellency Ato Shiferaw Jarso disclosed this when he briefed journalists about this year’s actions of the House on 13th of July 2007.
In his statement, the chief whip explained that the House has organized House’s affairs advisory and co-ordinating committees whereas reorganized standing committees in accordance with the revised House’s rules of procedure and member’s code of conduct.
In its legislative duties, the House has endorsed 50 bills and passed 10 decisions on current affairs, he said .
Besides, standing committees of the House have carried out various activities with regard to legislative process and oversight functions, he added.
Hence ,in its over all duties of legislation and over sighting as well as utilizing the rules of procedures that have been carried out this year ,the House has registered better performance than the past year .
