MINISTRY’S PERFORMNACE CONTRIBUTES TO
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SECTOR

The infrastructure affairs standing committee of the House remarked that exertions being made by the ministry of transport and communications in rectifying functioning system would contribute much to the effectiveness of the sector.

Committee’s chairperson, Hon. Ato Wobneh Imiru put forth the remark on behalf of the committee when concluding the occasion conducted to hear annual performance report of the ministry of transport and communications on 2nd of July 2007.

Hon. Ato Wubneh who appreciated ministry’s efforts in initiating better working relations with and among institutions answerable to it within a short period of its formation, has underscored the need to further intensify the trend.

Moreover, the endeavors carried out to instill the gender issue and the protection of HIV/AIDS among the employees of the Head Office was encouraging, he said.

During the occasion, members of the committee raised various questions to which his excellency minister Junedin Sado gave replies.

Earlier, presenting the performance report of the concluding Ethiopian fiscal year, minister Junedin had indicated that important activities have been carried to bring about radical change in the sector.
