The House of Peoples’ Representatives in its 13th regular session held on 10th of Jan 2008 has adopted one bill and referred to a bill to the pertinent committee after it had a thorough discussion

The House of peoples Representatives ratified the protocol signed between Ethiopia and Turky on the cooperation of technical, economic and scientific assistance on agricultural sector with the majority vote of 322 for, with no objection and 6 abstentions.

Similarly, after in-depth discussions the House has also referred the bill of Radiation Protection to the Capacity Building Affairs Standing Committee of the House for further Scrutiny.

Meanwhile, the House has adopted the minutes of the 9th regular session of the 3rd tenure with the majority vote in a view to incorporate corrections after authentication has made against the audio video records.

Meantime, the recently appointed executives of the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia took an oath before the House presented by the president of the Supreme Court, his Excellency Ato Kemal Bederi.

It is to be recalled that the House has approved the appointment of Ato Tesfay Mengesha as the head and Ato Ermias Asefa and W/ro Rahel Tadesse as a deputy heads of the office of the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia in its 12th regular session held on 27th of December 2008.
