The Bilateral Relations between Ethiopia and Iran is Moving in the Right Direction
The bilateral relation between Ethiopia and Iran as regards trade and investment has been moving in the right direction, it was learnt.
The speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives hon. Ambasador Teshome Toga has expressed this on February 1, 2008 while he received and talked with the Iranian delegation led by minister of foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran his excellency Mr. Manouchehr Mottaki.
Hon. Speaker said that the strong bilateral relation between Ethiopia and Iran with regard to investment and trade has effected to keep the momentum of the mutual and reciprocal economic development.
Besides, the current parliamentary relation between Ethiopia and Iran would consolidate people to people relationship of the two countries, speaker underlined.
Meanwhile, his excellency Manoucher Mottaki underscored that the participation of Iranian investors on agricultural and industrial sectors signifies the strong existing bilateral relations of the two countries.
Furthermore, he stated that after Iran conducts Parliamentary election next month March 2008, the newly elected parliamentary group, could jointly accomplish bilateral issues with Ethiopian counter part.
In addition, if Ethiopia establishes embassy in Iran, it will consolidate the bilateral relations with Middle East countries, he stated.
Besides, he expressed that the relation between Africa and Iran is moving on the right direction.
